Rosemary Dartnall launched Florentine in 1994 after a career in design and resourcing middle to high-grade footwear for retail. Her aim was to produce a tightly focused collection of high quality shoes for today's sophisticated consumer. Now with over twenty years experience in footwear and wholesale she is using her in-depth knowledge of the Italian shoe industry and her understanding of the customer to make Florentine one of the fastest growing independent shoe suppliers in the UK. According to Dartnall, much of Florentine's success can be attributed to "our use of only the highest quality materials, the superb fit and supreme comfort of all the shoes together with our continual focus on classic styling with a fashion edge, rather than being enslaved by the latest trend." For Autumn/Winter'99 the collection concentrates on low and medium heels, ranging from neat, formal styling to sporty looks featuring metal trims, leather tassels and soft pleated uppers. Dressy shoes are low, medium and high heels and are trimmed with fine metal chains, pleated curved seams, and printed leather uppers. Colours blend with the seasons fashion palette in shades of grey, rich browns, forest green and raspberry, along with classic black and navy. Stock Backed Service
Florentine, one of the fastest growing shoe suppliers in the UK is continuing support by extending its stock backed service. "It is very difficult for buyers to predict sales in advance, therefore we try to accommodate this by offering a re-ordering service," says Rosemary Dartnall, managing director of Florentine. Dartnall's retail background enables her to empathise with retailers and work in partnership to achieve more sales. The service is available for bulk orders or individual pairs and with their warehouse in the UK, deliveries are possible within three days. |
